The seed of psychology germinated with the need to suffice a cure for the intricate matters of the mind. It dawned on me that the science to our inner wellbeing and health is achievable, its study unique, and within the reach. I began schooling for my undergraduate degree in Psychology from K.C.College, Mumbai University in 2013. The road ahead was pretty clear - to master specialisation in order to get to the root of many problems that thrive in our society and find plausible solutions to end their distress.
I completed Post Graduation in Clinical Psychology from R.D.Nationals College, Mumbai University in the Year 2017.
Clinical Practice
Subsequent to accomplishing my degree I began work as a private practitioner and clinical work in the city of Mumbai. Throughout my dissertation I got the privilege to work and was mentored by some of the masterminds of the industry. Beginning with my first internship at the Cooper Hospital as a psychologist, where I undertook testing and assessment of patients who experienced depression, schizophrenia, phobias, various personality disorders, and also worked in the betterment of dyslexics and slow learners.
Following which I joined Sion Hospital and Thane Mental Hospital for a quarter of the year diagnosing and treating patients, creating reports and finding solutions involving personalised care and swift recovery. I have also had the chance to work at Tutored and Trained Institute, Andheri, where I was in charge of auditing teachers who regularly interact with and sort after mentally disabled children.
Having made the most out of my apprenticeship and continuing work in a field dedicated to the global good, I put my learnings to daily practice at the Ken Clinic based in Dadar, Mumbai.
Other Activities and Achievements
- Worked at ATHURTHA foundation, Malad.
- Currently collaborating with Exerfit and Shree. Matunga Gujarati Seva Mandal.
- Taken up home visits for therapy for Alzheimer, Dementia, and Parkinsons.
- Worked successfully with International Clients.
